West Michigan HVAC & Geothermal Contractor

Professional Energy Auditing

Home Energy Auditing

Our home energy auditing process uses advanced technology equipment to identify areas in the home that are causes for high energy usage.

  • A blower door will be used to determine infiltration of unwanted air from the outside or attic space.
  • An infrared thermal imaging camera will be used to locate areas that may not be properly insulated
  • A duct pressurization blower will be used in the duct system of forced air heating/cooling systems to determin leaks that cause conditioned air to be lost to unconditioned spaces.

Energy Efficiency Audits help to identify energy "culprits" within a home's structure, systems, and some appliances.

The measurements of those tests identify areas of the house that need improvement, allowing the homeowner to make educated decisions about investment and payback of home improvements.

After improvements are made, lower utility bills can result, and often, when installing new heating and cooling systems, the size of the equipment can be reduced, lowering installation costs.
